The RBI Update
We are thrilled to share with you the incredible impact we’ve made this past month, all thanks to your unwavering support and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers!
Breaking Records in Boynton Beach: On November 9, we set a new milestone at our Boynton Beach Mall distribution event! In just 3 hours, we served an astonishing 1,557 families—the most we’ve ever reached in a single event. This feat wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing core group of volunteers, who show up every Saturday morning with hearts full of compassion and dedication.
Weekday Distributions with PBSO: Our weekday food distributions, hosted Tuesdays through Fridays in partnership with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), continue to make a vital impact. With the help of community policing deputies, our staff, and volunteers, we deliver groceries to neighborhoods most in need. In 2024, we will host over 200 events, distributing nearly 3 million pounds of nutritious food to ensure no family in our community goes hungry.
Warehouse Heroes: Each month, our warehouse volunteers pack a staggering 9,000 bags of non-perishable food, ready for distribution at RBI events. We are always on the lookout for new partnerships to help us in our mission—because we believe that no one should have to face hunger.
Zero-Waste Initiatives: At RBI, we are committed to ensuring that nothing goes to waste. This November, thanks to our Zero-Waste Initiative Program, we donated 850 pounds of pet food to Palm Beach County Animal Control. Additionally, through our network of farmers, sanctuaries, and rescues, we contributed 830 pounds of pumpkins to the Florida Wildlife Rescue during “Give Back to Wildlife Week,” providing a special treat for their turtles.
