Tom DeRita, Jr. is a highly regarded and accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in government relations, public affairs, political fundraising, and business development. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resource Group of North America, he has successfully established the company as one of the premier government relations and business consulting firms in the State of Florida. With over 50 years of experience, Tom has provided expert guidance and representation to a diverse range of clients, including individuals, corporations, nonprofits, and governmental entities.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tom is also an active and dedicated member of the business community, who has built strong personal relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials.  He is a visionary leader who has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back to his community through his philanthropic efforts through his involvement with various charitable organizations in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. 

In 1992, Tom founded the Big Heart Brigade, an organization with a mission to enrich the lives of those in need by providing holiday meals and other forms of support to the underserved. Over the past three decades, the Big Heart Brigade has had a tremendous impact on millions of people and continues to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Tom’s leadership and commitment to community service extends beyond the Big Heart Brigade. He has served on several community boards, including the Martin Memorial Health System Foundation, YMCA of the Treasure Coast, Economic Council of Martin County (Past President), and the Adam Walsh Foundation.

Tom holds a business degree from the University of Rhode Island and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Northwood University of West Palm Beach. He is now the Chairman of the Board of Advisors for Keiser University’s flagship campus, where he proudly serves in this capacity. His expertise, dedication, and contributions to the business community and beyond make him a highly respected and valued leader.
